I know a few people with diabetes but none seem to have problems with tiredness. I'm not like this everyday but every few days I am so weary I can hardly move. This does not seem to relate to high or low sugar levels.
Doc doesn't seem to appreciate how serious this is in life.

Hi James, welcome to the forum 🙂 Sorry to hear about this How long have you been diagnosed? Is the tiredness a recent problem? Are you on any medication for your diabetes? Tiredness is, as you suggest, usually associated with high blood sugar levels in diabetes, but there can, of course, be other causes. Have you had your thyroid function checked? Are you on metformin? If so, this can cause vitamin B12 deficiency in some people, so worth getting that checked out.

Thanks for answers so far. I've been diabetic for around 3 years. I'm on Metformin, Glicclazide and Linaglipin as well as blood pressure stuff but blood pressure is fine. I've had this fatigue for a year or more but it's unpredictable and does not seem to relate to particularly high sugar levels. However my meds are not working very well in that my levels are normally in double figures even first thing in the morning.
