So my eyes ARE normal!

There's been a few threads here recently about 'floaters' and general eye things, so I did a bit of digging.

Lately I've been very aware of a particular phenomenon which is incredibly hard to describe but I've really noticed in the recent sunny weather, which is I see lots of weird little flashes everywhere (told you it was hard to describe).

I've finally found out what it is and had one of those "AHA! It's not just me!" moments.

Not only does it have a really cool name, but a really cool and benign cause too.

So who else has noticed their blue field entoptic phenomenon lately?

Oh I get those. Never really worried about them though. Interesting there's a name for them

Me too, although I tend not to notice so much anymore because I wear specs with reactive lenses and they seem to stop it. My optician giggled when I described them as really bright jumping beans. I thought that was quite a good description myself 🙂

Yes I also get them, they are like tiny random shooting stars and rather beautiful in an odd way.

Agree it is very hard to describe, when I asked my eye consultant about them he asked me had I been taking drugs at the time! 😱

Lol, I remember asking my physics teacher about these almost 15 years ago now...

he obviously didn't have a clue what I was talking about......🙂
