Type 2
Hi Guys

I'm newly diagnosed type 2, on Gliclazide and Metformin. Before I got diagnosed, I had only just started using SlimFast shakes to help reduce my weight, replacing two meals a day with shakes.

However, I've not been using SlimFast since I got diagnosed.

Today, I looked on the label, and found that for every 100gms of powder HALF is carbs, and most of that is from sugar. So each serving, made with semi skimmed milk, is 35g of carbs, 31 of which is sugar.

Does anyone else on here use SlimFast?

Thanks

So - how many g of carbs were in your usual meals?

And if Slimfast works, why not do exactly the same but with real food - ie eat the meat (the size of a pack or playing cards) and as much veg as you can cram on the plate - but limit the spuds or other carbs to 35g per meal.

Bet your BG will be lower and your weight will drop!
