I have been on Glucophage for about two years but suddenly it is giving me very bad digestive problems. But the other meds prescribed by the nurse cause me much worse side effects such as extreme dizzyness and anxiety/depression. Any advice?

You need to see your GP urgently to talk about all the side effects but mostly the Glucophage one - it has a serious side effect, which I hope you haven't got.

But anyway - if a drug causes a person side effects especially after they've been taking it a while - then it needs to be discussed with their doctor.

Are you sure it’s the Glucophage? It’s very unusual for drug side effects to appear two years after starting the medication. There’s any number of reasons why you might have digestive problems. That said, if you are on other medications as well who knows what interactions there may be - or indeed, knowing which is doing what.
