Things started going wrong at 3 am with a hypo and the libre just saying low, main meter was showing hypo as well but not that low, corrected that ok waking up to a 4.7. After breakfast jumped to 13.5 rapidly then by lunch time wham another hypo showing on the libre, and just above hypo on main meter. Corrected again as if hypo to a reasonable 8.9, decided to call in the pub on the way home for a meal by the time we got around to ordering a meal main meter was showing above hypo and the libre was just on 3.9. Had the meal and levels were struggling to rise got there in the end with the help of sweets and got levels to another respectful 8.1 pottered around and came home after the obligatory long wait between hypo's good excuse to have catch ups with friends.
After pottering around the house and doing some cleaning checked again on the libre and very close to hypo checked with the main meter and reading around 2.0 above the libre reading. As I have the pack of sample test strips for the insulinx decided to run a comparison between this and the libre and the readings were within 0.1.
The main meter a glucomen only reported one hypo during the day, but showed levels to be fairly low above hypo. I treated all events reporting hypos as such. Now with the sample reading on the insulinx and the libre being only 0.1 out and the glucomen meter about 2.0 above the others left wondering which is right.
Have noticed when comparing the glucomen gm with previous meters seam to remember that it did read higher than other meters. With my levels being very high and now being back on gliclazide and have been getting false hypo warnings, its def been a roller coaster ride today.
To cap it all some ware during the day I lost the top of the lancing device that was in the bag with the libre, good job have plenty of spare lancing devices around.
