Can anyone recommend some books on low GI foods? thanks

Leeds, Brand Miller, Foster-Powell and Colagiuri
The New Glucose Revolution

Enter it into Amazon and you get a whole series of links with this one being available from re-sellers

The GL Diet for Dummies is quite good - explains the principles behind Glycaemic Index and Glycaemic Load very well!

Meant to say in earlier posting that you can sign up for an e-newsletter that is quite informative from the University of Sydney GI guru's at:

http://www.glycemicindex.com/

David Mendosa's site also has list of GI values (Dec 08) from University of Sydney that you can download rather than wait for a book too

http://www.mendosa.com/gilists.htm

Hope this helps - agree with Northerner's choice too. Apols that I missed these two links out earlie - we had just got back from family visiting in Devon and so caught out in the "more haste, less speed" catch 22
