I'm getting a bit sick of my usual strawberry/blueberry breakfast combo, so have bought some raspberries to mix in for the next few days (I know, I'm WILD!)

How do people tend to react to them BG wise? There looked a lot more sugar in them w/w than strawberries when I compared nutrition online

I usal only have them with lunch fresh from the garden. Don't affect me much.

Actually by my reckoning, there's 4.9g of sugar per 100g in strawberries and 4.4g in raspberries. Although raspberries do have a higher carb count. There's not much in it though and I suspect people probably will eat more strawberries by weight in one sitting than raspberries because of the size.

Either way, what's relevant is how YOU react to them. Berries typically are the 'easiest' fruit for people with diabetes to manage so you might be pleasantly surprised.

They don't seem to cause me any trouble, which is just as well because they're my favourite berry. Usually have them on their own, or with yoghurt. Yumm.

I have them in my porridge every morning about 6-7 at a time and they don't affect me at all really. X

I'm fine with them too.

Oh God - fresh rasps from Dad's allotment with the cream off the top of the milk bottle - I'd ne about 8 LOL

But I happily eat them now anyway. Mainly seeds, with only a teensy bit of flesh around the seeds - so they LOOK at lot bigger than what they are in the mouth. (unless of course you wear a denture, in which case they last for flippin ever till you can remove it and run it under the tap! LOL)
