Carly getting a pump now is in doubt becuase of my deafness because I won't be able to hear the alarm to alert me. DSNs are looking into it and hope they can get one that will vibrate for me so do anyone know if there is one that will vibrate?

Hi - I have a Minimed Paradigm Veo Pump and which has a vibrate setting - which is very effective - and is the setting I use it on. 🙂

Hi Ruth,
all the pumps vibrate and have a sound alarm as well. Not sure how this will help you though as you wont feel the vibration as you arn't wearing the pump.
The only way around this is to make sure you check the pump every 2 hours or so. Or perhaps train Carly to tell you when it alarms or vibrates.

As sue said, all pumps come with both an audiable and vibration alerts, which can be set separately or working together, with a choice of levels.. And it's going to be getting to notify you if the Alarm/Vibration goes off..

I wont be wearing the pump, it is my little girl she will be wearing the pump i will need an vibrating alert.......

Hi Ruth,
sorry to have to tell you there is no pump that does this :(
If carly is a bright child which I suspect she is then teach her to tell you it is alarming. I know she is only 3 but kids are amazing at that age.
How much can you hear? I am wondering if a small amplifyer can be attached to the pump so you can hear it.
