Following on from another thread about the changes to vegan food in supermarkets, and the increase in pre packaged foods, its interesting to see how much healthier these are compared to those targeted at meat eaters, now I am eating less meat.
Even the ready pot meals seem better.

All fairly healthy, not a pot of toxic chemicals.
One is a microwave pot, the others simply add hot water.
All reasonably low calorie as well.
Those for meat eaters

May contain egg, soy, celery and mustard. †From sustainable agriculture
Pot Noodle Chicken And Mushroom 90G
Ingredients
Noodle mix (96%): Dried noodles (69%) [WHEAT flour, palm oil, salt, firming agents (potassium carbonate, sodium carbonates)], maltodextrin, WHEAT flour, sweetcorn, potassium chloride, flavour enhancers (monosodium glutamate, disodium inosinate, disodium guanylate), flavourings (contain MILK), sugar, skimmed MILK powder, palm fat, salt, onion powder†, yeast powder (contain WHEAT, BARLEY), mushrooms (0.4%), herbs (chives†, sage), potato starch, mushroom juice concentrate†, acid (citric acid). Sauce sachet (4%): Soy sauce [water, soy sauce (SOYBEANS, WHEAT), salt, molasses, sugar, acid (acetic acid)]. †From sustainable agriculture May contain egg, celery and mustard
Far more chemicals, additives, flavour enhancers.....
Now, these are all reasonably new to the market, so maybe the drive for this type of snack is customer driven, does it show a fussier customer compared to the market for the older style snacks, or a change in the market overall?
