For the first time in ages I fancy some popcorn. I buy poping corn and don't put any salt or sugar on. I can't see anything that tells me it is a no no. But just wondered.

I’ve snacked on popcorn in the past and not seen that much impact (though it’s very different for a T1).

I think it depends on how much you were having. It puffs up and is mostly air, but I would only ever have a few handfuls, not a sharing-sized bag. 😛

Interstingly many of the commercial ones seem to be sweetened with artificial sweeteners rather than actual sugar/honey/whatever.

Simple solution is to weigh out the quantity you want, work out the carbs then see what effect it has on your blood sugars.
I pop my own corn as well 🙂 Being type 1 I can adjust my insulin to cover what I eat.

Yes we pop our own corn too. It’s much better.

I used to make popcorn for the children - with black pepper and sea salt. They were envied for having a popcorn maker at home and it was always a hit at parties.
