Been given a change of tablets i am now perscribed alogliptin is there anyone on this med was wondering how you got on with it and anything to look out for?
thanks

I'm not familiar with them topcat, but it sounds like they belong to the same family as sitagliptin which I know quite a few people take. I have the impression that experiences are mixed - some good, some seeing no real improvement. Whenever I get new medications I read the Patient Information leaflet that comes with them to make sure I am aware of any potential side-effects. I hope they work well for you, let us know how you get on 🙂

I have not heard of that either but I am Sitagliptin and have been for number of years.I have no problems with it.

I was on Sitagliptin for several years with no problems. I assume alogliptin is in the same family of DPP-4 drugs. The gliptins have few side effects but one or two are serious ones which are rare. Do read the leaflet but I'm sure you will be fine.
