suggested that i might ask my GP about it. i was suprized at this i have lost 3 stones so far and am loosing 3-6 pounds a month Im quite happy with this as its natural and steady I dont think i need it as my control over BG levels is good and i watch what i eat and follow a low carb diet To be honest is not a diet its a change of lifestye to my eating habits Am i right to be happy with this? It knocked me a bit when she said it

I always feel really uneasy when people suggest things like that to me tbh even if it's well meaning.

However, it is only a suggestion and entirely up to you what you do. If you feel your current plan is working well, why mess with it? I also think they limit how long you can be on the injections as well as all kinds of supply issues etc. You can always ask about it later on if you change your mind.

I'm also uneasy about this. Don't get me wrong, Mounjaro, and the like, until all other options are exhausted, and as you are content with your steady losses and strategy, like you, @gail2 I'd want to continue with that.

All medications have side effects, although not all users of any given medication experience side effects, and some only in a very minor way.

One of the impacts of Mounjaro is to dull the appetite, but some users report when they stop using it, their hunger returns with a vengeance. That often means the weight they lost comes back.

Gail, clearly the decision is yours whether you mention this to your GP, but I can understand how you feel.

Mountain is meant to reduce your appetite so you eat less, if you can already control what you eat then I agree you don’t need it
