I picked up a copy of Morrisons magazine recently, and was pleasantly surprised to see that from the Jan / Feb 2015 issue, all recipes in the magazine have carbohydrate per serving stated, in addition to calories, total fat, saturated fat, sugar and salt.

Lets also hope that they have them right! I once followed a recipe from (I think) Good Housekeeping that had carb counts on, and was suspicious of the value it gave. When I added it up, the count they gave was about twice the actual figure. If I'd have based a bolus on that, I'd have been in trouble! I've never totally trusted recipe counts since then.

I don't trust carbs on packaging at all. 😛

Well it's usually near enough correct in the UK.

Of course, the US leave the fibre in the total carbs, so you have to take them out before you bolus. No idea in Europe generally, but to be honest, think the packets we regularly buy in French supermarkets are reasonably accurate.

If in doubt - Collins Gem - it takes up no space in the motorhome so it's an essential like the vials of insulin, etc !
