ooh yummy!
Nothing quite like a home made mince pie :D

So how many carbs in your mince pies? Which do look rather yummy 🙂

Can we see a photo of the interior please.... ie. one cut open so we can see the filling. :D
They do look delicious and that is a 10 fold reduction on a standard mince pie, so very impressive!

Will do a photo when I next have one
Thought I might be too late and they would already be all gone! They would be here! 😉 Drooling emoji!

I'm curious to know why you don't provide the recipe or a link to it.

And here is the Christmas Cake Recipe.
I've just tried a slice and it was lovely. Screenshot_20221114-202956_Chrome.jpg

Only 4.5 each? wow. Weakened today, was offered a slice of Christmas cake, home made, took icing off and scoffed it, oh boy, yum, paid for it though, 1 hr later when I got home 11.5 , 10 min slog on exercise bike and half hr later back to 7.4 phew, at 2 hrs, 6.0. was it worth it? hmm....yes! Its Christmas after all.

You are not alone .I fell at the first xmas hurdle , Stollen and chocs. Probably leave the testing for a few days...and it was lovely to eat that stuff.

Well looking at your stats Sharron I think you deserve that treat!

Sorry - you can stick your stollen - or anyway not complain when I pick the marzipan out and just eat the cake part!

Chuck the marzipan my way please!

Could you spare a bit of marzipan for me?
I don't understand these people who have to overshare when there is something they don't like.
Much nicer to be positive and overshare about what you do like. And I do like marzipan 🙂
I made my own marzipan once.

I was only a kid so living at home. Fancied a bit of fun making marzipan fruit shapes (I was a weird kid ok!) but we didn’t have any in the cupboard.

What mum did have was about 4lbs of ground almonds all ready for baking almond cakes for Jewish New Year.

I used it all.

It made about 1/2oz of fresh marzipan which was so fresh it went off just by looking at it!

It was delicious though.
