Just been to the Docs about my painful neuropothy and he recons that nearly all of the drugs used to treat this problem are anti-depressants, so I declined and said I will see how it goes.
I mentioned to him about the use of Metformin and anemia and he has suggested that I stop taking the Metformin for about 6 weeks and adjust accordingly with my Insulin then go back for a blood test to see if this is the problem. I have been taking Metformin slow release for about 16 years, always on high doses, at present I am on 2000 mg. per day along with 320 mg. gliclazide and Humalin I and humalog insulin. The Humalin I I take 20 units just before breakfast and then 6 units Humalog with my evening meal. So will wait and see what happens, could be interesting over the Xmas period. Still should be a bit less windy after all those sprouts😳🙂🙂
