I was confused when I phones Medtronic to report a sensor that finished early. No problem with replacements but a couple of things came up
Apps
The advisor asked why I wasn’t using the Simplera App. I had never heard of it and in our training for the Simplera they asked us to download the minimed mobile app and set that up with the link to Carelink.
Has anyone had experience of the Simplera App?
Does it do anything different from the Minimed mobile app?
I looked at the App Store but couldn’t see any difference in what it does.
Life of a sensor
At our training we were told that the Simplera sensors last 7 days.
The advisor said that they should last 6 days and some last for seven.
I am wondering if this is due to the number that are finishing early.
I have had 50% finish on day 4 or 5. Always replaced but now I am wondering whether they will replace ones that last 6 days. Not such a problem now as I have funding but wondered if anyone has been refused a replacement for a 6 day sensor?
