I seem to remember making this from a Jamie Oliver book a while back?🙂

If it is from a recipe book, I'm afraid we will have to delete it as the forum can't breach copyright. Can anyone confirm?

Sorry Guys I can't Authenticate it's origin

Sorry guys I can't orthenticate this recipie as it was passed to me by my sister. It would be a shame to delete it because not everyone has access to a miriad of recipie books or can afford them. I've been on a low GI diet for two weeks and am already getting bored with the recipies my nutritionist gave me and looking for more low GI. complex carb recipies. I have been looking here as it's cheaper than keep buying recipie books. Moderators, I understand about copy right and all that, but surely you are missing a vital resource here. If some one submits a recipie from a cook book could they not mention the name of the book and the aurthor. That way we can all benefit from learning new recipie ideas and the author may sell more books?🙂

I know what you mean Queenbee - sometimes it is hard to come up with fresh ideas. Many existing recipes can be adapted and made lower GI and more BG friendly though.

There are lots of very BG friendly and tasty recipes freely available here:

and here:

And of course if you've adapted a recipe yourself to make it better for your levels you can always post that. You could also look for suitable recipes published on resources like BBC food (http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/) or DUK and link to them 🙂

This "Sweet Onion and Puy Lentil Stew" by Nigel Slater for example, looks very tasty - and lentils/pulses are fairly slow release for many people 🙂
