Hi is anyone able to recommend a low carb naan bread recipe that actually tastes edible and worth eating . I have tried couple which were both dreadful and not worth bothering with . Any recommendations gratefully received

Hello,

Sorry I don't know the answer and I am interested too.

I was thinking of looking at gram flour, made from chick peas, but this may not be low carb and I was looking at a chapati replacement.

Almond flour or coconut flour are lower in carbs, but not sure how they would bind..

The other issue is that nan bread is soft, not sure how using any of the above flours would help on that front.

I keep meaning to have a go at bread again, now I have got some xanthan gum and also wheat gluten. The gum helps the crumb structure.
I will try out some coconut flour, gluten and gum - maybe try it today (this is me psyching myself up to make a start) making a soft dough and then cooking it gently in a covered frying pan might do the trick.

Nice one!

Will be interesting to find out how it works out, I do your taste test.lol
