Hi.

So I think jelly is ok to have as a snack/treat (?) but the labels have confused me.

There's the crystals you make up yourself that say sugar free but the ready made pots are no added sugar. Do these mean the same thing? Is there a better one to have?

Thanks!

Hi there 🙂

In some cases they mean the same thing and it has no sugar but other things contain naturally occurring so could be labelled as "no added sugar" because it hasn't in fact been added

I see next to your avatar it states Type 1, is this correct?

It doesn't particularly matter about sugar content as that alone isn't what causeds upheaval in blood glucose levels, all carbohydrates turn to glucose in the body, just the more sugar the quicker it hits

So what /i'm saying is pay attention to total carbohydrates, not just "of which sugar" part
xx
