So my question is as the title. How long did it take you get a 6-pack of abs (not beer!). What did you do for exercise and what did you eat? I have a thin waist at 75cm or 29.52 inches and I still, cannot see a six pack. Any tips?
I did triathlons, distance running and a small amount of weight training. I mostly did the sprint triathlons but did do longer ones as well. Later I had to give up the triathlons so I just concentrated on swimming. I didn't aquire a six pack really just a very flat firm tum.
I think there are some fairly unrealistic examples walking around these days. People who devote their lives to reducing body fat percentage and achieving definition.
I have always been fairly slim, though my stomach is the first place to gain weight, and I built up a layer of lipohypertrophy from lazy reuse of my lower abdomen during 25 years of MDI that still persists after 12 years on an insulin pump.
The very best I can do (while retaining something resembling a normal life) seems to be to do core exercises 3-4 times a week including crunches, sit-ups, plank, leg lifts etc where I’ll see a bit of definition vaguely happening under my rib cage. But my lower abdomen refuses to let go its little blanket.
