Homemade Pizza

They look really good Martin. I was just thinking the other day that I hadn't seen any of your baking efforts recently and then 2 in a day.... Love it! Could just reach into the screen and grab one. I used to have such a sweet tooth but now it's the crispy savoury stuff that really appeals to me.

Yes I had a busy morning in the kitchen today.
I still bake every Monday, but only post something if it's a new recipe as I would only be duplicating my older posts.

Can I ask @Martin62 where did you get this recipe from please

Have you tried goat's cheese as some people who can't do cheese are OK with it.
Thanks any kind of cheese sets me off cheers for the thought

They do look nice! I always make my own pizzas as that way I can control (reduce/remove) any added sugar or salt from things like the pizza base sauce etc.

I cheat a bit though and use the Country Range Pizza Base Mix which just requires a bit of water. I make the base really thin and the pizza base sauce is basically a tin of chopped tomatoes, some herbs and a little olive oil with NO added salt or sugar.

Toppings wise I seem to be a bit intollerant to lactose so have been using some lactose free cheddar and a sprinkling of mozzerella which I believe is naturally low in lactose any way.

Fresh tasty pizza that my Nieces and Goddaughters prefer to the a takeaway one any day of the week!! Best thing about a homemade pizza (other than the taste) is that you can add all sorts of veggie options to help with your 5-a-day 🙂

They look pretty high in carbs, do they spike you?

I make really thin crust ones and only a couple of slices so! I tend to only make them when I have my Nieces or Goddaughters round as they like to roll the dough out and put on the sauce & toppings that they like so I've never eaten a whole one.
