For those who don’t know I have gastric dumping syndrome, probably caused by major abdominal surgery. This occurs when food moves from your bowel into your small intestine too quickly. Before I was diagnosed it happened a lot especially when eating out, I usually start sweating profusely, and then pass out along with vomiting and or diarrhoea. Luckily, I know usually, the food to avoid, fatty, rich and sugary. This morning I didn’t feel too well when I got up as I hadn’t slept very well because of pain in my left hip and left shoulder. I felt very lightheaded and my head felt “ bunged” up. I had 2 slices of Burgen with Whole Earth peanut butter for my breakfast, within minutes I felt nauseous and had to dash to the loo, luckily Mr Eggy came along as I then had my full blown turn, apparently I went green and the only reason I didn’t collapse onto the floor was that he held me up and sponged me down. I thought I was going to die, I couldn’t speak and just wanted to lie on the cold bathroom floor. He managed to get me onto the bed as lying down usually helps. I slept for 2 hours and felt loads better but have felt heady and washed out all day. I couldn’t understand why it happened but Mr Eggy thought it could have been the 2 Tramodol I had during the night. I haven’t taken any for 18 months as I have managed the pain. I have had nausea before with them but nothing like that. Anyone else had problems with Tramodol? Luckily, I am feeling loads better now, I NEVER want to feel like that again. BTW, Mr Eggy tested my BGs and blood pressure and both were normal.
