Boasting again and feeling smug :D - all test results normal, A1C 39 a point below last year!
DB nurse blown away, her words, said I could come off register if I wanted.
Indicated I would rather stay on yearly as it takes dedication to achieve them, which she agreed, although she did say relax a bit, everything in moderation, enjoy life, don't make it too hard on yourself, o.k. fine I thought, 2 beers a day instead of one, she wasn't so happy with that suggestion .
The low carb journey continues, but weight creeping up! Too much cream in coffee!
Hope all posters are o.k. doesn't seem quite right to post this as some may be struggling but it was with the intention of proving it can be done in many cases depending on how your own body reacts and to prove low carbing is definitely worth trying!

Congratulations @Dave_Z1a - terrific result, and hopefully others will find it inspiring.

And :rofl::rofl: at your beer comment to the nurse!

Well done on a great HbA1c result and being in remission. Certainly inspires me to keep working on the lower carbs diet. My HbA1C blood test is due on Monday. Fingers crossed it will be lower than last time.

Well done, but there’s no ‘register’. The current guidelines are to recode the diagnosis as ‘in remission’ if hba1c has been < 48 without medication for three months. This still triggers the yearly checks and the eye screening. I’m surprised this hasn’t already been done with those results! (Mine are similar, but I started at 83.)

Hba1c tests have a margin of error, so the changes you have seen may just be natural fluctuations. Great set of results, regardless.

well done great news

Thank you everyone :D

Don't worry about boasting. A bit of good news makes all of us feel good. I think you are wise to keep on the list. I was referred to the foot clinic because of neuropathy. I have the annual checks. They always say I am doing the right things and do I wish to remain on the list. I always say that I do. If anything happens, I don't want to have to start from scratch and I like the comfort of the specialist saying, keep on keeping on.
