I don't know if she is actually a diabetic but this is a recently published a book of food hacks to balance blood sugar. Suggestions include eating the veg at the beginning of a meal, or a salad first, and finishing with the carbs. She says this flattens the curve. I'm getting the book but wondered if anyone had read it and what they thought of it??

I've read it. It's interesting. She's not a diabetic or a doctor, though she does have a Ph.D in biochemistry. There's a lot of discussion about using glucose monitors to regulate your blood glucose levels and finding out what works for you (I didn't find drinking dilute vinegar before a meal helpful, for example)

??? how could you possibly get the same results with all and sundry, when their gut biomes are all different and personal to them?

She does mention this point about gut biome. That is the subject of a number of other books. As somebody who has only seen popular summaries of gut biome research, it seems to me that gut biome is the goto explanation for unexpected results. Still, I eat my kimchee in the morning and hope for the best.
