just taken this out of the oven. Sausage meat halved and flattened out. 4 hard boiled eggs laid down the middle. The other half of sausage meat flattened out and laid on top. Seal the top and bottom together. Add decorative posh looking lattice design of bacon and cook for 35 mins at 180c fan.

Total of 32 carbs for the whole thing. Going to have it cold with salad

Definately gonna try this one. Would be good to have for breakfast when we go camping.

I definitely like the sounds of that.
Thanks

I am already ahead of you there stitch! Looking at foodstuffs to cook ahead to take away with us in the moho!

I might actually like that Lynn whereas TBH the only part of any 'pork pie' - so that includes 'real' Gala pies - I have ever liked - is the pastry!

(Loath the 'meat' content, the h/b egg tastes peculiar in them, the jelly is particularly disgusting ...... Retch)

Butttttt - will it slice OK cold, or will the bacon impede the slicing?

I will let you know TW. Might even get the camera out again to prove it either way.

I love pork pies but ...... It has to be one of the 'dirty' ones. Cheap and cheerful with some grey anonymous mush set inside that lovely jelly!

No wonder I have a big 'arris!

Cuts a dream. Had it in the fridge for about 4 hours so it's very cold.

I'm off to Tesco's right now. Thanks Lynn

We will get 2 meals out of it making each portion 8 carbs.

That's ACE Lynn! Tescos in the morning anyway ..... saus meat and streaky bacon on the list!

This will be perfect for me to take to work.

Im drooling looking at the pics.

Just been shopping and found Tesco Finest British Traditional Pork Sausages 400G - only 1.6 carbs per 2 sausage grilled!

Nutrition
Nutrition
Typical Values 100g raw as sold contains 2 grilled sausages (116g) contain

Sugars 0.5g 0.6g

He's my attempt, maybe I was closer to 190 but hey I'll take it, loads of brownie points for me dinner will be ready when my wife walks in the door. To top it off we got our first batch of Jersey spuds through today so I can put some in the salad.

Should have sent the picture after you had finished eating.

It looks really delicious Lyn . I was wondering about using ordinary sausages and you have answered my question 🙂 . Will definitely have to have a go.

Don't forget to Skin Em! as Lenny Henry's mum used to say to the barber when he was little.

Ooops, sorry - that was 'Skin 'im!' LOL
