Has anyone else encountered issues with dispatch and delivery of these sensors from Abbott?
I ordered 5 days ago, although it does say delivery between 5 and 7 days, I noticed my order was on hold.
I joined their chat group and enquired why it was on hold. They told me it is 5-7 days from dispatch and won’t be dispatched for another 3 days. So 8 days from order then another 7 days...shocking. They were quick enough to take my money.
just to rub salt into the wound, they can’t refund a cancelled order for 14 days but only after the item has been dispatched! So by that time they’ll have had my money for a month.
can I buy these sensors elsewhere?

I’ve always had fairly prompt deliveries and good communication from Abbott. Though I know they have had some intermittent challenges with stock over the years.

But you are best buying them direct from Abbott. Any you buy from elsewhere will have come from them originally, and it’s much easier to get any sensors that don’t perform as expected replaced, if you buy them direct.
 
my last couple of orders have been 2-3 weeks from order to delivery. Currently at almost 2 weeks wait on this current order and got the dispatched email today, hoping it comes before I go away in a week
 
Before I got them on prescription, I purchased them for Asda pharmacy. I had no problem with Abbott replacing faulty sensors.
Likewise, I now get them on prescription from my local pharmacy (they were able to sell them but were more expensive than Asda). Again, Abbott has no problem replacing faulty ones.
 
I always have had mine within a week but I don't receive the dispatch notification till they have a arrived for some reason. I usally order 4 at a time.
