First comment .. what checkup?
Due to me mentioning my foot drop problem with left foot told me not to take off orthotic and sock so no pulse check or examination. More importantly no pulse check or examination of right foot apart from tuning fork on big toe. Just said to check both everyday.
Told her my weight from home scales so she said would do that next time but just keep around the same. Blood test results were very good and so just carry on. Forgot to ask specifically about thyroid, cholesterol and urine test results. At door did ask what my blood level was and she said so much better than before at 79percent!!
I have to take hubby next Monday so am going to ask for test results printout. Hopefully all will be clearer then.

Sounds like a VERY cursory check! :( I'm sure there is a comprehensive procedure they are supposed to go through, but I know myself that the extent of the checks I have received has varied considerably. Hope things become clearer on Monday! 🙂

Got full printout of blood test results yesterday. HbA1c was actually 4.4 so why nurse said 79percent I have no idea.

Am a bit worried that several of the kidney related measures seem to be at or just outside normal ranges. Some have been flagged for Dr but nurse did not comment so I will have to do some more digging to see if need to make appointment.

So, is that 4.4% or 44 mmol/mol, I'm confused!

I wouldn't be too concerned about the kidney results, perhaps it's so the doctor can see if you need medication reducing or increasing? I bet there are millions walking around with the same results quite happily, they just never get tested with the frequency we do! My LFT (liver function tests) always show 'elevated bilirubin' but GP says not to be concerned. I will be interested to find out whether that has changed at all though, having quite alcohol 6 months ago.

Sorry northerner that is 44 mmol/mol. My best result since diagnosed!!

Fab HBA1c Pippaandben, well done 🙂. Hopefully those other flags are nothing to worry about. I have a random white blood cell issue mine is always 12 when the max is supposed to be 11, but it's always at it so we've concluded my body just really enjoys making white blood cells and is just a bit too keen on mopping stuff up 🙄. All tests for anything untoward are always clear. So let's hope your results are a similar thing 🙂
