I still haven't had a Chinese since diagnosis. I believe Foo Yung is ok as it's basically an omelette. Or you could just not worry about D for one night & enjoy yourself. That's what I would do.

I had one last week when staying with my mum, I had chop suey (the bean sprout one ) and stir fried veg and cashew nuts I told them I didnt eat sugar and they wrote it on the order. The guy even said just have chicken and prawns as the pork was marinaded in barbecue sauce with sugar! It was good lots of water chestnuts and bamboo shoots ...best still BS totally behaved 🙂 ....let us know how you get on
Ps I had no rice

I had chow mein and only spiked by 4 but it does depend on what you've done through the day too for sugar levels.

I'd have the treat and if early enough go for a walk if you can.

I had egg foo young and a small portion of chow mein and I was fine just a 2mmol rise after two hours x

I had chicken flied lice and chips not so long ago & my bgl shot to about 8.3 post 2&1/2 hrs - thought it might have gone into double figures so was pleasantly surprised x
