i bought some wax strips and on the reverse of the packet it says not suitable for diabetics. I have always had my eyebrows and upper lip and part of my chin waxed for years and want to continue to do so but i thought i would buy some strips to try and save some money and just get my eyebrows done from time to time - will i still be OK to use them do you think?

If you have used them so much in the past i cant see why not, your so brave i never wanna be waxed lol .I think with waxing its just they like to cover the backs.

As Steffie says - they have to protect themselves. All foot baths say not suitable for people with diabetics. They are trying to cover themselves in case say someone with nerve damage burns themselves with too hot water.

If you are worried I am sure your pharmacist could reassure you.

thanks both of you, i understand now. I had a foot spa for xmas but haven't used it yet but am looking forward to using it soon 🙂

Most things give out warnings these days. It is to cover the makers incase someone damages themselves. If you have used something for some time with no problems, there is no reason why you should stop now.

I must admit that Ive spent most of my adult life ignoring warnings that say not suitable for diabetics, in particular signs that tried to ban me from enjoying jacuzzis. Many millions of bubbles later and they have caused me no harm.........hhhhm now I'm daydreaming that as soon as my eye has healed I'm going to have a nice hot bubbly jacuzzi (sorry for going off the subject)

I wax my eyebrows and bits on a regular basis at a salon and salon wax is a lot stronger than the bought strips. Tried them myself but I'm useless at doing it myself. Like the other guys have said the warnings are to cover the manufacturers x
