Hi,

Wondered if anyone has any advice for me or even if I am doing the right thing. I am aware of the need to exercise and have indeed noticed that if I take a walk etc after eating and then test my glucose at least 2 hours later my levels are fine. Due to the fact I have bad knees, really painful and have only recently had surgery on my wrist. I am loath to go to the gym in case I do any further damage. So, I have devised my own exercise regime at home this includes squats, lunges, bridge lifts - I increase the number of these each week and usually do them during the day and before bed. I also do stand ups and sit downs from the chair. I am always up and down the stairs doing something. I also lost a couple of stone (a combination of the diabetes and walking) and hope that these exercises as well as helping my mobility will also help to tighten up the saggy skin (yuk!). I use to go to yoga regularly and sometimes also do standing poses. I don't see that any of this is incorrect but I am sure someone can advise me. Unbelievably it all happened almost at the same time. There is nothing that can be done for the knees - I take a cod liver oil tablet daily and walk as much as I can. But sometimes it all gets a little too much.😱
