Hi All,

I have falling into the habit of eating my last main meal of the day - dinner late. Most nights it can be any where from 8:00pm to 10:00pm. Sometime even later! There has been a few times when it more around the normal time for eating dinner. I have also fallen into the habit of eating in bed at night - at first this was only some very small but it has increased in size! I think the snacking/eating in bed at night started as I read that if you have something light to eat it could help you fall asleep! Now, I think it has been a habit!

I also read that it could increase your weight as it makes it harder for your body to digest your food when you eat main meals late or eat in bed! I also read information that contradicts the above info. So now I don't what to believe!

Could this be a reason why I'm now diagnosed with Pre-diabetes? By eating my dinner late & snacking in bed at night that my weight has increased? Still in the healthy range but it at the high end of the normal range. So is my BMI which has also increased!

If you are eating your dinner as late as you are, is it because you are still hungry. I normally have dinner at 8pm and then only have a drink at bedtime. However if for any reason I have had dinner earlier then I am more likely to feel the need to have something later but never IN BED.
If you are having a high carb meal then it could be you are in the cycle of your body over producing insulin causing you to then feel hungry. What are you having for your dinner.

There’s not enough info- are you meals high and in carbs and sugar. R u medically obese. Do you exercise?? All these will contribute. Having smaller portions and regularly is always better than a big meal to stop you spiking.
