I was prescribed Indapamide ( Water Tablets) as part of my high blood pressure treatment since getting higher sugar levels anyone else experienced this and why?

I was on a different tablet, water tablet, but they switched me to indapamide when I was diagnosed with T2. But I don't know if it was the reason the Dr changed it.
