DAFNE have collaborated with the Diabetes Technology Network to develop a free ‘Closed Loop Essentials’ (DAFNE-CLE) course for people with type 1 diabetes to prepare them for using a closed loop system. Consisting of online modules, the course is designed to support the transition of suitable adults being offered HCL technology. It’s available across the UK and open to referrals. See the video at the bottom of this link to get a better understanding of what's being offered and how: DAFNE-CLE :star:

Sounds good but if it’s an online self directed learning course, why does it need a referral? Why not just spread as much knowledge as wide as possible?

It's a good question, I also thought the same.

I think my guess is they expect to be updating it based on feedback, so they want to offer each version to a limited range of people so it can be improved.

I have asked about this course and been offered it. I have become a bit complacent on the loop and I looked at the modules and there were bits in it that I felt that I could do with an update on. I will report back.
