Hi all

I’m new to this and I’m craving carbs. Today I broke down and had a packet of quinoa chips. I can’t see the diabetes nurse , until the 14tg of march. I’m following a low carb diet too. Any advice welcome. I’m eating Greek yogurt dairy free with berries and omega three nuts at breakfast. No sugar, no biscuit. Boiled eggs with spinach or tomatoes and mushroom, lactose free cheese which is matchbox sized. I’m gluten free and unable to have dairy. I’m intermittent fasting too. Please help

Nairn make gluten free oatcakes

The cheese ones contain milk but the original ones don’t contain milk. IMG_1539.png

They are definitely the best. The ginger ones are good but hard to find, Bought some Aldi ones and they were terrible
Never seen gluten free ginger oatcakes but they do make gluten free ginger biscuits if that’s what you mean.

Yes they seem to call them biscuits rather than cakes which I hadn't spotted.

Really? I’m worried I’ll crave more if I have one oatcake. I love them
What’s wrong with having more than one? They’re only 4.7g carb. If you eat 28 oatcakes then you’ll be only marginally over the low carb target of 130g per day, if that’s what you’re aiming for. I assume you aren’t planning on 28 a day though

Then buy something you like but can control yourself with, eg rice cakes. You don’t have to avoid all carbs. In fact, you could well be setting yourself up for failure if doing so makes you want to cram as many oatcakes in as you can.

Good point. I’ll make up toms with tinned pilchards and some cheese bits. The cafe there may have a salad mind u that’s probably wishful thinking lol
