When unwell or after an operation to fortify the body, there used to be seven seas liquid tonic for that purpose but I don't think can still get it and its probably not diabetic friendly.

Does anyone know of a convalescing tonic suitable for diabetics?

My aging mother has been very ill and I think she needs a pick me up.

Although I could do with one myself :D

Wishing everyone a good blood sugar day 🙂

I don't know whether this applies, but how about a clear chicken soup? There are several recipes online. I particularly like the Romanian version which includes soured cream. But that can just as easily be omitted.

yes Chicken broth is good but I was thinking more along the lines of a daily dose of revitalising vitamins and minerals in the liquid form, something quick and easy to take alongside any broth or other meals. I guess this could be an option looking at the carb content Ibut not so good on the sodium content):

How about one of those fizzy soluble multivitamins that they sell in supermarkets (including own-brand)?

Though I’m never sure how much evidence there is for any of these supplements, and how much just gets passed through in urine?!
