For some months, despite wearing thick socks, hot waterbottles and exercise, I have been suffering from painfuly cold shins and toes, it's like having an ice cold waterfall from my knees down, now I've developed red hot stinging pain in my heels an achilles tendons. GP will not discuss more than ONE symptom at a time and then only for 5 minute time slot. Therefore I feel that she is not able to correctly analyse the full problem, any suggestions as to how to get some respite or even cure.

Hello @Tapbuster

Sorry to hear about the changes in sensations in your legs and feet - sounds very uncomfortable :(

How long have you been living with diabetes? And have you had your annual tickle-test and pulses checked in your legs?

Do you think the changes in sensation in your legs and feet might be related to damage to your nerves?

There’s some information about nerve pain / neuropathy here which might help?
