Can I ask anyone , if I have a big bottle of coke and pour it into a small bottle by my bed and don't use it for a few days till I need it , do I get the same sugar intake if it is flat ?

Im guessing so...... why dont you get some of those party size cans from asda 4 for a ?1 save drinkin flat coke

If anything, relative sugar content will rise slightly, as some water will evaporate. Fizziness is caused by bubbles of carbon dioxide, nothing to do with sugar.

However, why use a caffeinated drink for night time hypos - any other soft drinks or fruit juice would be better for getting back to sleep afterwards. Small 150ml cans of drinks or 200ml cartons of juice would be ideal, cheap enough if you stock up when they're on special offer, or from budget supermarkets.

I'm using LeeLee's lovely Iced Tea in a flask by my bed. I made it with some no sugar added peach squash and it's really nice.

Diet Tonic water with a hint of lemon. So cheap & good for cramp etc. 😎

Hiya

Yes in theory it will be the same sugar content and this is going to sound totally nuts but it does seem that the fizz helps with treating hypos quicker than if flat !! Bizarre eh. Also use a straw if you can. I know that sounds nuts as well but it helps with the old sugar and teeth situation a tiny bit according to the many dentists and doctors I quizzed about this 🙂

Stick with coke if that is what works for you. I used lucozade or coke at night for my daughter
