So it was going to happen maybe at sometime. I do a split dose of lantus/BI, 10u @ 10am & 10u @ 10pm. I've always remembered to take my BI pen with me if going out anywhere in an evening but totally forgot to put it in my handbag this morning & didn't arrive home until 4pm ish.

Was wondering what anybody else would do in this situation?

I would just correct any high with QA and do my 10 pm injection as normal 🙂

When I was asked to split my dose, I asked what happened if I forgot.
I was told to correct with my fast acting & take my glargine at the usual time,

Yey! Those are the answers I was looking for 🙂
I had no wifi connection and don't have unlimited data on my mobile so couldn't even use my mobile to get onto the forum (me being me panicking now) so rang my GP surgery, my DSN called me back a short while later and said "don't worry just do your normal dose at the normal time tonight and correct any highs, you'll be fine tomorrow"
I asked on a diabetic fbk group and someone there said take a dose when you're back home - 4pm - then take your normal 10pm dose.

I wouldn't trust what people say on Facebook, there is no proper oversight of what is posted there and I've seen some truly dreadful and dangerous advice being given out :(

What?
I've had advice off there which I thought was iffy prior to finding this site

Couldn't agree more with Northerner about FB. The page is unmoderated and totally run by the lunatics in the asylum. Sorry, I didn't mean to be offensive, but the advice is normally hopeless.
