Hi
discussed with my gp today about getting bloods tested for b12 which he agreed to. Any one who was deficient and now on good levels, do you feel any different.? I read about b12 shots however not sure if that’s an American thing? Anyone with any information on b12 would love to hear your stories.

I think whether a deficiency is treated with pills or injections depends on its cause. If it’s lacking in the diet, then pills are prescribed, but if it’s caused by absorption issues, (such as pernicious anaemia) then the body won’t absorb it from pills, so injections are given.
