David asked the GP for a prescription for some more lancets - no problem. (Unlike some posts I have read!) When I opened the box it is full of all these brightly coloured ones! They look so pretty. The sample few he was given by the diabetic nurse were all grey coloured. Not sure of the psychology here.... :D

It says Bayer Micolet on the box and gives a picture of blue, pink and purple lancets on the front. But inside the box there are rainbow colours! Green, yellow, purple ....lol

Either someone at Bayer has a wicked sense of humour or they really are trying to brighten your days! Do you know I have taken to reading threads on this forum every day to try to educate our family and I am more and more amazed at what you guys go through and how ignorant - me included - the general population are about diabetes.

I have these also, they came on my repeat prescription the other day. Just to confirm they are Bayer Micolet.

My little one has these, she likes to chose a colour and knows all her colours well no thanks to these "rainbow" lancets, a silver lining here 😉

ah i have just changed over to these but hadnt looked inside the box yet as although i am using new meter i thought i would do my bit by using up my old lancets (the lancing thingy itself is on its way out but will last until the lancets run out) the ones that came with the machine are grey but i have just looked and the ones in the box are different colours 🙂 this made me smile and i think it is a brilliant idea, the coloured ones i had seen before i thought were probably for kids? but i am glad i have them... also my machine has a purple bit on it which is my fave colour so that makes me happy too..... simple things eh

Lol! I agree - simple things....! David was given the choice of colours for the machine that reads the sticks too. David has blue, hubby has green. There was even the choice of a pink one! Great that they help with learning the colours in youngsters but what a way to do it! Good on you though for making a negative into a positive. 🙂

Hee hee I have these too! It really is the little things but they made me smile! I have a bright green monitor to go with them :D

actually bayer are really switched on with this, the colour machines and you can get a different bits to put on them if you dont like the stanard ones they have, they have a selection of pouches in different colours and also a rewards system for your strip box tops i guess to encourage testing, one really good one is the carbs and cals book my diabetic nurse said i should get one but i already did.... no i dont work for bayer lol just found this a refreshingly positive approach to help us diabetics with our diabetes.....

Different coloured pouches would be useful in this house. the meters are different coloured but the pouches are both black. We actually used keyrings attached to the zipper part to be able to quickly see which pouch belonged to which man. 🙂

The problem is that when you are rushing out in the morning, you have one more decision to make - red, green , pink, purple ......

-I used to be on time for work - now :(:(:( :D

Hi . I started to get the coloured lancet last year , at first I thought they where kids ones to make them smile etc , when I got them again when i went to pick up more from Boots , they told me its so we know we have changed the lancet and so dont use a used one ,,,, good idea :D

Wish I didn't have a Roche Multiclix now! LOL
