I recently found soy bean spaghetti, very low carb version of pasta, is there anything similar for rice, no I don't want riced up cauliflower or any other veg....but any other thing..?

I have a feeling the other day I saw Bulgar Wheat used instead of rice. Never tried it. According to Carbs and Cals it has 16g carbs per 100g, which is certainly less than rice.

Thanks will have a look..

I love Bulgar Wheat. Have it quite a lot. In fact I mix it with cauli rice to make it even lower carb & they work really well mixed together. There is another 'fake rice' called 'Barenaked Rice' I believe it's made with Konjac flour. Personally, I wasn't keen but I know some people on here like it so it's worth a try.

Thanks @Mark Parrott ..!

I do really like ALDI's cauliflower rice. only 2.9 carbs per 100gr so I eat a full 250 gr box. I notice they also now do a broccoli rice, slightly higher in carbs but I just don't fancy it for some reason.

I don't fancy broccoli rice either. My fave cauli rice is Tesco's frozen. It's in one serving bags & has quite a fluffy texture, more like rice.

Haven’t tried that yet Professor P. Don’t go to Tesco often. Will have to look at that.

I tried Iceland's Frozen Multi Green Rice and liked that - Broccoli (50%), Curly Kale, Spinach, Courgette, Wakame Seaweed (2%). 2g carbs per 100g

I'll second the suggestion of bulgur wheat, as it looks and cooks like rice. Great with a curry as it soaks up the sauce! I also like Quinoa with curries or casseroles, similar to bulgur wheat in nutrition, but a bit nuttier in flavour. 🙂
