This seems to be getting worse but comes and goes away. I've had panadol extra and ibuprofren this morning but it is still annoying me. Don't know if it is diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis or something else. I'm seeing the podiatrist the Thursday after next - any suggestions as to what I can do in the meantime please?

Have you wore a shoe with a different sort of heel Amanda? This can cause pain in this region for me. Doesn't have to be a high heel - just different?🙂

Thanks Lucy but no difference in the shoes that I've been wearing......and because I'm off I'll I'm not wearing shoes very often.

Sily question but could something as simple as not wearing shoes cause the pain. I know it sounds daft but I after many weeks put a pain in that area down to flip flops.

I hope you get it sorted anyway.🙂

Are your ankles swollen as well? might just be a long day on your feet esp in this heat.

I wonder if it has anything to do with a change in your gait due to the hip pains? You might be favouring one leg more than the other and subconsciously putting more stress on one foot.

I was going to suggest maybe you need new shoes, but if you're not wearing them that wont be it.

Thanks everyone the pain is in both of my feet and toes. Yesterday when I had both ibuprofen and panadol extra together (not good I know) the pain disappeared for three hours - - it started again within an hour of getting up today.
